Oct. 7- Early Dismissal 12pm

Oct. 5-10 - Homecoming Week!

Oct. 10 - Homecoming Dance

Oct. 12th and 14th - Parent Teacher Conferences

Any student attending the Volleyball game tomorrow will receive a raffle ticket at the door.

A drawing will be held after the 2nd Set on Tuesday. The winner will receive a gift card to Canes. Amount will be $30 - $50 or whatever Mr. Kessell can afford that day.

Let's get out and support our Badger Volleyball athletes over the next week!

You are invited to play a fun and crucial role in addressing the nation’s teacher shortage, while celebrating the teaching profession!

“America’s Got Teachers!” (AGT) is modeled after the hit show America’s Got Talent and is designed to cultivate a love of teaching in America’s youth. AGT is open to students in grades 3-12. (Junior Division Grades 3-7. Senior Division Grades 8-12.)

Do you have a student who has a passion or curiosity for education? Work with them to develop a 15-minute mini-lesson and teach it in your class. Then, submit their video to the Wesleyan Institute for Successful Educators (WISE) honors program for constructive feedback and encouragement from Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Education majors (along with some seriously cool swag)! You may sponsor more than one student.

A lucky few will even be invited to teach their lesson on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University in front of a panel of “celebrity educators” at our America’s Got Teachers Finals with a chance to score an impressive NWU scholarship. Pretty awesome, huh?

There is no cost to enter. Details are attached.

Register by October 9th at this link.

Submit videos by October 16th using this link. Please feel free to offer any assistance you see fit to your interested students.

Our goal is to inspire future teachers to begin thinking about the field of education and spark a love for teaching. Please share this information with your students and encourage others in your school to participate.

If you have any questions, contact Dr. Mark Thompson at mthomps7@nebrwesleyan.edu.
