Any student attending the softball game on Thursday or Volleyball game next Tuesday will receive a raffle ticket at the door. 

A drawing will be held after the 4th inning on Thursday and after the 2nd Set on Tuesday. The winner will receive a gift card to Canes. Amount will be $30 - $50 or whatever Mr. Kessell can afford that day.

You are invited to play a fun and crucial role in addressing the nation’s teacher shortage, while celebrating the teaching profession!

“America’s Got Teachers!” (AGT) is modeled after the hit show America’s Got Talent and is designed to cultivate a love of teaching in America’s youth. AGT is open to students in grades 3-12. (Junior Division Grades 3-7. Senior Division Grades 8-12.)

Do you have a student who has a passion or curiosity for education? Work with them to develop a 15-minute mini-lesson and teach it in your class. Then, submit their video to the Wesleyan Institute for Successful Educators (WISE) honors program for constructive feedback and encouragement from Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Education majors (along with some seriously cool swag)! You may sponsor more than one student.

A lucky few will even be invited to teach their lesson on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University in front of a panel of “celebrity educators” at our America’s Got Teachers Finals with a chance to score an impressive NWU scholarship. Pretty awesome, huh?
