Announcements

ATTENTION 10th & 11th Grade College Bound Students:
On Monday, October 26th, 2026 and/or Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, Bennington High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT digitally, off-site at A View on State located at 13467 State St, Omaha, NE 68142.  ANY sophomore or junior student who attends Bennington High School can register to take the PSAT/NMSQT exam.  This is an optional test students can take for a fee.  This exam is used to give four-year college bound students a practice test on material like the SAT assessment and in determining National Merit Scholarship winners when the exam is taken their junior year. For more information on the National Merit Scholarship, please use this link.
To sign-up to take the PSAT, students will need to fill out this Google Form.  Students must sign-up by 3:30 pm on Wednesday, September 2nd,  2026.
Depending on the number of students who register to take the exam, we may have two testing dates.   Sophomores would test on Monday, October 26th and Juniors would test on Tuesday, October 27th.  If only one testing date is needed, students will test on Tuesday, October 27th.  An email will be sent out to students and their parents/caregivers  who are registered to take the PSAT/NMSQT the first part of October, letting them know the date of the exam.
ALL students registered to take the exam will meet in the morning at BHS on the assigned testing date and be bussed to A View on State.  Students will not be allowed to drive to the testing site.  After the exam, students will then be bussed back to school to have lunch and attend the rest of their classes.
There is a $18.00 nonrefundable fee to take this exam.  (This includes if a student decides not to take the exam, is sick, and/or if any type of emergency may occur.)  Please note that there is no make-up day for the PSAT/NMSQT.  To pay for the exam, please have your student bring their payment to the Counseling Office to either Mrs. Smith or Ms. Shadle. (If paying by check, please make checks payable to Bennington High School. If paying by cash, we will not be able to provide students change). Payment for the exam is due by 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 8th.  .

Remember, this is an optional test students can take.  This test is not a requirement for admissions for colleges and/or universities
