The next regular Board of Education meeting will be on August 10, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., at the District Office, but will follow a City of Bennington and Board of Education joint meeting at 5 p.m. held at the Bennington City Office (15505 Warehouse St). All meetings are open to the public. Regular meetings are streamed live through YouTube and viewable on the District website. Special meetings, where there are action items on the agenda, will also be streamed live. Agendas for Board of Education meetings are posted on the district website the Friday before each meeting. If you completed Online Registration (OLR), you can now see your student(s) teacher or schedule in ParentVUE. When you log in to ParentVUE, you will be prompted to verify receipt of the 2026-2027 Student Handbook and the Acceptable Use of Computers, Technology, and the Internet Agreement. Teachers and schedules are then accessible in the “Class Schedule” section.
If you are unable to access your schedule in ParentVUE, you will need to complete OLR first.
For those who have not created a ParentVUE account or completed OLR:
The parent portal, ParentVUE, will give you access to near real-time grades, attendance and other data about your child or children. You will be able to see records for all of your children with this single log- in. Once you create your ParentVUE account, you will be prompted to complete OLR.
- New families to BPS, you can create an account at: https://ne-bps-psv.edupoint.com/PXP2_Login.aspx
- Returning families can access your account through an email sent on July 9th from Synergy. The email link is the easiest way to begin the process for returning families.

Bus Passes
All students are required to have a bus pass to ride the bus.
- Bus passes are good through a student’s senior year.
- If your student rode the bus last year, please find their pass for them to use it on the first day of school.
- If you are not able to locate your student’s pass, you can purchase a replacement for $25. To request a replacement pass, please contact your student’s building secretary.
Bus passes for NEW riders will be available at the school’s back to school night.
- There is no fee for the initial bus pass for new riders.
2026-2027 Bus Routes
Bus route information was emailed to families earlier today and a copy will be sent through U.S. Mail in the coming days.
Bus Accounts with Outstanding Balances
As a reminder, families must pay any outstanding transportation balances before students will be placed on a bus route. Before students can be assigned to a bus route, the outstanding balance must be paid in full or a payment plan must be established with the Transportation Department.

The Free and Reduced Meal applications are now available for the 2026-27 school year. Applications need to be filled out every school year. Each family only needs to complete one application for their entire family.

Families also have the option to purchase snack milk for their students each semester. This is separate from the lunch program and can be paid online. Snack milk is $53.40 for each semester. You must purchase snack milk for each semester. Snack milk for the first semester is available for purchase starting on August 3rd and will end on August 21st at 4 p.m. After August 21st at 4 p.m., payments for snack milk will no longer be accepted.
If you do not purchase snack milk by August 21st at 4 p.m., your student will not be able to get snack milk. Second semester will be open for payment in December. All payments for snack milk will be done online at myschoolbucks.com.

Bennington Public Schools accesses curriculum materials from Second Step as part of the elementary guidance and secondary homeroom curriculums. The purpose of this curriculum adoption is to provide 1) district-wide expectations for behavior; and 2) consistent instruction of important life skills.
The curriculum helps children learn social-emotional skills such as 1) responsible decision making; 2) working together to solve problems; 3) managing strong emotions; and 4) getting along with others. These skills often help children succeed academically and socially. The expectations supported through this curriculum are Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Kind.
In guidance, elementary counselors meet with students weekly to cover important topics described above which are reinforced in the classroom. An outline of topics to be covered is located in each grade level Curriculum Guide found on the District’s website. In District Middle Schools and High School, 21st Century Skills are taught in Homeroom.
Parents may review any curriculum. Classroom teachers are a great resource for additional information. Parents may also schedule an appointment with their student’s building principal. Curriculum guides are on the District’s website outlining topics and concepts covered.
If parents have concerns after reviewing the curriculum guides and want to opt their student out, please contact your building principal for available options.

All BPS Athletes entering grades 7-12 need to be registered in BOUND to participate in athletics for the 2026-2027 school year. Please see below for more instructions on this process.

Please go to the appropriate links above and complete the following.
- Create a Bound Family Account. Search for and connect your students to your family account.
- Update important demographic information on your student(s).
- Upload your athlete’s 2026-2027 Athletic Physical (Required by NSAA rule) and Sign Off on NSAA Consent Paperwork.
- Register for each activity that your child plans to participate in during 2026-2027. a. Steps 3 and 4 must be completed before the start of your child’s sport season for your child to participate in practices / competitions.
