- One Act Meeting Monday, September 8th 3:30-4:00pm, High School Auditorium
All students interested in participating in cast/crew for one act this season should attend to go over the season and details. If you are interested and can't attend, please email bthompson@bennps.org.
- Any boy basketball player NOT out for a Fall sport - plan to attend a meeting after school Wednesday (8/27) in Coach Olson's room. Please see Coach Olson if you are unable to attend.
- On Wednesday, August 27th at 6:00 pm, we will host a College & Career Fair at the High School, and at 7:00 pm in the auditorium, we will host a College Planning meeting for the seniors and their parents. Both events are open to all ages.
- Students…If you know that your parents ordered Activity passes for this year, please come to the office and pick them up from Mrs. Zelfel! Thank you
- Chess Club: Want to learn to play Chess? What to improve your skills at Chess? Come to Room 254 Tuesday, August 26 from 3:20 - 4:00. There are plenty of students of different skill levels to complete with. See you then!

On Thursday, October 16th, 2025 (a non-school day), Bennington High School will be administering the Pre-SAT digitally. ANY sophomore or junior student at Bennington High School can register to take the Pre-SAT exam. This is an optional test students can take. This exam is used to give four-year college bound students a practice test on material like the SAT assessment and in determining National Merit Scholarship winners when the exam is taken their junior year. To sign-up to take the Pre-SAT, students will need to fill out this Google Form. Students must sign-up by 3:30 pm on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025. There is a $18.00 nonrefundable fee to take this exam. (This includes if a student decides not to take the exam, is sick, and/or if any type of emergency may occur.) To pay for the exam, please have your student bring their payment to the Counseling Office to either Mrs. Smith or Ms. Shadle. If paying by check, please make checks payable to Bennington High School. If paying by cash, please bring exact payment, we will not be able to provide students change. Payment for the exam is due by 3:30 pm on Friday, September 5th, 2025. Remember, this is an optional test for students, It is not required.

- If you are interested in joining a creative writing club called "Inkwell," please come to our first meeting in room 236 on Wednesday, August 27 at 7:30 am. The goal of Inkwell is to get your work published in a book that we will do ourselves. We will meet each week, do some creative writing, and work on it all year to figure out what pieces you want to include. If you can't make it, please come see Mr. Ginal in room 236 for all of the information from the meeting. Hope to see you all there!
- The ASVAB will be administered at Bennington High School on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025. The ASVAB is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery exam. This exam is highly recommended for students who are interested in joining any branch of the United States military. To sign up to take the exam, please use click on this Google Form. Students need to sign up for the exam by 3:30 pm on Friday, October 10th, 2025.
